The Austin Air Jr. HealthMate Air Purifier HM200 cleans the air of rooms measuring up to 700 square feet from chemicals, noxious gases and airborne particles. The HealthMate Jr. is certified to remove 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns and 99% of microorganisms and allergens as tiny as 0.1 microns and larger. Over 200 cubic feet of air passes through the filters of the unit every minute to make the air purifier.
Featuring Austin AirÕs 360-degree intake, the purification system draws air into all sides of the unit to make the air pass through a four-stage cleaning process. Large airborne particles visible to the naked eye are captured by a pre-filter while the Medium Particle Pre-filter traps small to medium-sized particles. The gases, chemicals and odors in the air are then captured by the Activated Carbon-Zeolite Blend pre-filter, and the harmful microorganisms are finally captured by the 60-foot True Medical-Grade HEPA filter.

Austin Air Jr. HealthMate Air Purifier HM200
The feedbacks for Austin Air Jr. HealthMate Air Purifier HM200 from its users are mostly good. Most of the reviewers claimed that the air purifier has made all the difference in their ability to breathe. It eliminates the odor of smoke and even those with sensitive nose can’t smell anything when they come to visit. The HealthMate Jr. helps with the air quality and makes the room much more livable. The size is just right and even at high setting, the sound that the unit makes isn’t really that annoying.
A few customers complained that the HealthMate Jr. has no UV Light to kill the bacteria it filtered from the air, no ozone to kill airborne viruses and a no negative ion output. All it has is a medical-grade HEPA filter which caused them to doubt if it really cleans the air. Others also whined about its loud noise at the highest setting.
Customers considered HealthMate Jr. a great machine for smaller closed off rooms, and the difference in a big open space wouldn’t be probably noticed much. The unit can be conveniently carried from room to room if necessary. The expense with HEPA filters is not necessarily the up-front purchase cost of the unit but the cost of replacement filters over the years. Austin air purifiers are rated as needing filter replacement once every five years and only a good vacuuming outside the unit every few months is required to achieve the promised longevity.
The Austin Air Jr. HealthMate Air Purifier HM200 got a fairly good average rating from the reviewers. Although the air purifier is not cheap, it’s particularly a reliable air purifier and is extremely cost-effective to operate over time as it needs filter replacement in five years. It does well in cleaning the indoor air and alleviates allergy problems.
