Indianapolis Air Quality Remains a Community Challenge
The need to educate children on the dangers of air pollution is particularly apparent in Indianapolis, as according to the American Lung Association’s 2022 state of the air report, air quality in the area ranks as some of the worst in the country.
Indianapolis is also at risk of pollution from forest fires, as smoke from fires on the west coast is traveling thousands of miles, affecting air quality in the Midwest.
Our Work with the Colts Mascot “Blue”
As part of our partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, we are collaborating on the “Choose Love” project. It’s a school assembly hosted by the Colts’ mascot, Blue. The assembly focuses on the importance of choosing love over judgment and bullying. Austin Air also hosts a fun and educational assembly on the importance of respiratory health, featuring several pro athletes in various sports.
